Going to refund my ifi go pod. The right side start to acting out. Whenever I reduce the volume on my PC, the right side keep reduced it to 0. Tried to resetting the pod but it didn't help at all. When it is working, the pod is awesome, sound is amazing, power is amazing, fit is amazing, but it has too many problems.

after having the Go Pod and the Go Blu, lots of problems. I'm stuck with the Go Blue because nothing else in the category is good. It's like they don't care about their crappy QC and design, because they are in niche markets. Please, let's have a decent company show up in this space.

Funny thing is my KZ az09 pro has the least problem of them all. Just sadly it is the least powerful adapter compared to the others, but you can remedied it by pairing it up with easy to drive IEM like aful p8 for example.

Received my LG Tone 90S. Will be testing later today.

What caught me by surprise is how small is the case. Some comparisons below.

Wonder why these are not for sale officially in the USA

Beats Solo case: 66mm x 24mm x 35mm / T90S case: 65mm x 29.9mm x 32.6mm
T90s case charges, Qi charging, UV nano, and transmits. Solo case is just a place to put the buds w/o a battery :)

Went through a little back and forth recently with the AZ09/Pro. Got the AZ09 as a gift from Amazon, tried them, thought they were fine, but was curious about potential improvements of the Pro for only a couple dollars more. I only have an iPhone, but have a Hiby R4 ordered, but the AptX is currently lost on me until that arrives.

Jury is still out. I do think they sound fine when they work. I'm using them for walking around the house with one in/walking around the neighborhood with both. Had a lot of cutting out while walking around the neighborhood today. I also don't like the floppiness of the Pros, when using one while laying down it dangles in an annoying way. I ordered the TRN BT20 Pro and the normal AZ09 again on AliExpress for relatively cheap, and might just go back and forth with them based on which IEM I'm using. FWIW, the KZ EDX Pro X sounded pretty good with the AZ09 Pro, at least for walks where I might get sweaty and won't be too concerned if they break.

After playing with these for a bit:

  • Found that the 3.5mm - USB Type C cable did not work for my laptop and/or DAP as to have the case as a transmitter. When I tried with B&W Pi7 s2 it did work
  • The USB Type C to Type C cable did work for my laptop and/or DAP as to have the case as a transmitter.
  • TWS pieces are comfortable but use proprietary tips which limits options for tip rolling.
  • Tuning is pleasing and no harshness and using the Bass Boost works nicely by increasing the sub bass but avoiding bloat.
  • ANC is comparable to the new Nothing earbuds (a) or new Motorola /Bose Buds+. Will work in the street environments, but not a plane for example.
  • App is pretty useful, a few views below

There is a new one the AZ20 which has AptX adaptive. The old AZ09pro used to have it but I think KZ removed it for the newer model.

So far no affordable options for these in Canada. But the fact you can use the LG case as a APTx transmitter with other APTx devices is pretty cool and might make these an option for people using non APTx xx phones like Samsung and Google.

*Are you comparing to Bose Ultras regarding the adaptive noise canceling function?
