FitEar F111 — Impressions, Reviews & Discussion (previously TO GO! 111)
Jul 25, 2017 at 1:35 PM Post #872 of 902
Hi,
I am currently paring the Astell&Kern AK100ii with fitear 111(aloaudio). I feel the sound presentation is dark in a sense and instrument separation seem to lack. I'm thinking of upgrading the original 3.5mm jack cable to 2.5 balanced cable frm ALOaudio. Would that give a wider soundstage or any sound enhancement? I've never tried the 2.5mm cable before. Any opinions and advice please.

hello everyone here... I found a demo pair of F111 at a decent price. wondering if this IEM is still relevant now or is there something else (better???) I could consider?
I tried it at the shop, along with the IT03 and UE4. the UE4 seems to be the most 'boring' of this bunch, while IT03 is the most upbeat one. the F111 I consider to be have amazing clarity.

I still think 111 is relevant in this day and age. I tried both the new Ety (ER4XR and SR), and I like 111 more than both of them. Heck, I even like ER4B than both new Etys :D

Sure you can pick multi-driver in-ear, but I think il'll stay in 111 for quite a long time :D

what was it in the FitEar that you liked more than the Etys?

Both new Etys sound a bit thinner than 111. The XR, although do have more bass than the SR version, is not as bassy and thick as 111. Bear in mind that in general, 111, XR, and SR is not thick nor bassy, but when you compare the trio, the 111 is bassier and thicker sounding than the others

ER4B, assuming you can find one, is closer to 111 sound-wise. I have ER4B before, but I sold it to my friend.

And yeah, my 111 is the new version. It has both glossy (near bore and tips) and matte (outside) finish, so make sure you get that version (old version is glossy all-around, and have thinner sounding) :D

Just finished reading all 59 pages of this thread & had to comment. I should be receiving my 111 in a few days.

I'm inlove with my F111 all over again. I forgot how airy they sounded, its wider soundstage and extended bass. With the right music the single driver made my Dita Truth sound inferior to it.
