I am pleased that FIIO seems to have nailed it with this unit.
 
This is coming my way on tour at some point. 
 
My trusty X3II has been sold in anticipation of some great new equipment out this year.  I really did love that unit but ....!
 
The X5 III  piece looks like a top contender.

I expected the X5iii to be outmatched but for 1/2 the cost it would hang close cuz of the dac's. I expected that. i was wrong. Bravo to FiiO.I hope they use these dac's in the future. Very nice smooth sound that holds onto the details.

​As Hbb stated, the DX200 is like the FiiO X7 on steroid. They sound similar, according to him. It's not that hard to test out the X7 if you haven't already.

I'm actually curious why you say this. Please do expand. I haven't heard either to date so I'm looking at this from a learner place, with zero bias.

You already have an X5-3 though! 

. Even HBB praised it as more engaging than DX200 and we all know that he's speaking out of his own accord! 
 
One can only use one DAC, one pair of headphones and one music track at once! 
 
On the other hand, you might be able to use up to 6 monitors if you want, but it would be complicated

Why is it so hard for people to accept that sometimes, others do not hear things the same way they do? For some people the X5III will for sure be better for their preferences than the DX200. That isn't even debatable, that is a fact just as much as water freezes when the air around it is cold enough. It is ridiculous to assert that DAP A is way better than DAP B. At best you can say that for me DAP A is better than DAP B, but all of these absolute statements are rubbish. Like what you like, it is all good.

  I think 1 GB RAM is limitation for Android 6.0 - Maybe 6.0 is reserve for X5 4th Gen and X7 2nd Gen...I'm sure all this device comes with 2GB or more RAM.

Is there no way to avoid Android altogether and still allow third party streaming services to be hosted on a DAP? It seems to me that the significant number of bugs that are constantly cropping up are due to Android. So if you are essentially saying most people aren't really using the DAP as an Android device, that begs the question why use Android? I'm sure it is very complicated and I'm grossly over-simplifying things, but I do wonder what the attraction to Android is if your primary use is simply audio?
 
Edit: for the record I can see there being a strategic reason as moving forward having your device be a multi-function device is likely a better survival strategy so perhaps I have answered my own question.
