With the popularity of streaming music, FiiO has developed music players with a powerful streaming function, including the M11S, M11 Plus and M17, portable DAC/Amps that are commonly used to connect with mobile phones, USB audio adapters, Bluetooth DAC/Amps, etc. What's more, there are desktop DAC/Amps that are designed to cater to computers, and a smart streaming desktop HiFi center, transmitter/decoder/amp/preamp all-in-one unit R7 that is developed based on the open Android system.
At the same time, through communications with consumers, we found that many of them have some audio devices with excellent sound quality. However, these devices missed the streaming media function because they were developed previously.
Then, a product concept hit us, i.e. a streaming music receiver. It will feature wired 2.4G WiFi and LAN ports, and can receive audio signals coming from devices like mobile phones through DLNA and AirPlay. More importantly, it will support Roon Ready. After receiving the signal, the device can transmit the decoded PCM/DSD signal through optical or coaxial or USB output to a DAC/Amp, AV amplifier, DAC, active speaker, or other old devices that support digital audio input yet lack streaming function, giving them new lives to keep up with the trend.
In addition, this product will be well-designed with easy operation as well as a user-friendly price. Especially for Roon users, it may be the most budget Roon Ready device.
Currently, the SR1 is still in the very initial stage of development. We would love to hear any opinions and suggestions from you. If everything goes well, it will enter the market in September.
