@FiiO
Any updates regarding a new firmware release for the FW5? It's been quite silent here recently.
Dear friend,

Hi, what requirement would you prefer to add for the FW5? If you would like to improve the LDAC connection for FW5, we are sorry that we do not have the better plan for it currently.

Best regards

@FiiO
It happens to me too sometimes, the bug @helmutcheese mentioned. Especially when I have it connected to both my notebook and cellphone at the same time. It would disconnect from the cellphone but remain connected to my notebook. In that case I need to take out the iems, power them off manually and put them back in the case.

In my opinion you can leave LDAC as it is. I think little can be done if it didn't come native to the qcc5141 (correct me if I'm wrong). Maybe consider a LHDC dongle for non-LHDC users? Or maybe replace it with LC3? I don't know if this is possible though..

As for additions, I would suggest passthrough mode and button customization from Fiio Control just like the UTWS5.

On the original user manual (not sure if it was updated) these had Passthrough.

Strange thing that I experienced yesterday an today. Connecting my FW5 to my M11pro in LDAC, listening to music that have been downloaded locally, if i listen to my music via Amazon Music with Wifi on connection is rock solid, no problem at all, but if I diconnect from wifi and listen to the tracks this time stored locally, I experience audio beginning to have audio screeches, cracks, ... but when I listen with other TWS earbuds don't have that kind of problem (for example Sony WF-1000XM4 in LDAC mode too) very strange ...

@FiiO

Asking here again as maybe you've glossed over my comment regarding leak-through mode.

How do you guys intend for the leak-through mode to be used? Thanks.
Dear friend,

Hi, what's the problem with your FW5? You could send email to support@fiio.com with more details.

In LHDC mode (connection/disconnection phrases) is offset to the left. When the music is playing, it also happens to shift to the left. You have to press pause on the headphones, then press the play button again and then everything sounds centered.
Is there any way to fix this?
I used to write about the problem of channel displacement with the equalizer turned on, in version 1.6 this was fixed.
The problem is only on the LHDC codec, everything is fine on other codecs.

I ran my FW5's in LDAC on new phone without issue last night as it has the newer SnapDragon chipset (old phone had older BT 5.0 Snapdragon Chipset) and then same for LHDC, I had them both set to 24/96 and played a Hi Res Flac Album.

I cannot find info on it the 10 options for audio Quality in the LHDC settings.

My purchase history Fiio FW5.
I ordered these headphones on Aliexpress from the Official FiiO Store. Upon arrival, I connected them to my phone, but found that the right earbud was losing charge too quickly and would periodically (every 10 seconds) lose connection (fall off) and then reconnect on its own. I contacted the seller with this problem, but did not receive any response. I found a recommendation on the Internet to “update the firmware.” After installing the latest firmware, the situation only got worse; the headphones began to wheeze and play music with constant interruptions (both on Android (on all codecs) and on iOS (on AAC)), and the right earphone still lost connection every 5-10 seconds, and then it reconnect again (and so on in a circle).
I contacted the seller with a question, but, unfortunately, I did not receive any answer. I was forced to open a dispute on Aliexpress: I attached photos and videos in which you can see and hear how these headphones wheeze and how the music playback is constantly interrupted (I also sent this video to the seller, but he ignored it). According to the arbitrator's decision, I must return these headphones back to the seller, and he must pay me shipping costs. I went to the post office, paid for the headphones to be sent, and now they are on their way to the seller. But, unfortunately, even now, after 10 days, I have not received any response from the seller. He reads my messages but ignores them.

Let me sum it up. I received defective headphones from the Official FiiO Store. The seller completely ignored all my problems. After the Aliexpress arbitrator made a decision to return the headphones at the seller’s expense, I paid for the shipping, but I will no longer receive my money. I have attached screenshots of correspondence with the seller and a screenshot of the resolution of the dispute.
I would like to appeal to the official representative of the FiiO brand: dear Sir, do you think it is normal when a client is treated worse than cattle, completely ignoring him, in fact leaving him alone with a defective product?

P.S. I must say: the problem with my headphones is far from isolated, there are many reviews on the product page with similar problems and people complain about the seller completely ignoring the problem. That is, a defective batch of headphones was released for sale, which somehow passed the technical control department at the factory.

Dear friend,

Hi, some of us were out of office in the last few days so we did not reply your message on time. You could provide your Paypal account to us via Aliexpress. We will refund the shipping cost of returning the product to you via Paypal. Thank you.

Best regards
