Shout out your favorite piano piece. It can be Classical, Jazz, Ragtime, Contemporary, etc. Please give the title and composer. Feel free to explain what you feel the artist is saying through his or her music. Be as detailed as you like.

Mine would have to be Ballade if F Major by Frederic Chopin.

Beethoven's Emperor Concerto played by Michelangeli. An old live recording with a flaw (loud clarinet), but the performance is nothing short of spectacular.

2nd Bach's Goldberg Variations, although the Well Tempered Clavier book 1 edges it out sometimes.

WTC...food for the soul. After listening exclusively to Gould and Tureck I recently got Hewitt's recording. I have to say I'm mighty impressed with it.

So what's a clarinet doing in the recording?
