I remember reading about this a few years ago. Did they ever catch the murderer I can't remember the details?

I am originally from Toledo, currently in Columbus though. Out of that list I knew about Jamie Farr and Katie Holmes. I had Katie Holmes' sister for an art techer back in high school.

Honestly though, I really don't care who is from my town. I can't think of a single famous person from Columbus.

- Henri Vieuxtemps perhaps. Composer born in 1820.
- Guillaume Lekeu. Composer born in 1870. Those 2 composers were famous in their time, now... no comment.
- Pierre Rapsat, singer, he died young last year.
- Maurane, she still sings. Those two are well known on the french music scene but I doubt they'd ring a bell for an english speaker.

That's not a lot of people alive

I lived in Olsztyn, Poland for a summer. Copernicus (Kopernik, in Polish, I think) lived there.

Also, Maria Sklodowska (aka Marie Curie) was from Warsaw.

So what is so bizarre about it???? Is it because it involved a american icon,
Or the crime committed was against a small child, or the convicted party was german nationality which could of been used in anti-germanic propaganda or is it the fact that the trial was influenced by media coverage????
