I don't know how they compare but the elma one is a ladder and the dact is a series. I have heard that ladders sound better. Here is a link that describes the differences. Comapring Attenuator Types

I'll be interested in this group buy... as for the number of attenuators I want, I have not decided on that yet.

currently I am either going to make a dynahi, or a balanced dynahi, and/or one of the migs in some configuration yet to be determined.

so something from around 0 to 4 attenuators, and maybe more.

when is the deadline for making up my mind?

yeah, now the question is how many to order. I really don't want to get stuck with a ton of these(at $70+ each they can get really expensive). On the other hand I don't want people who have ordered one not to get it. I want to send these out as quick as possible which means placing the order from Elma as quickly as possible which in turn might mean ordering the pieces before I have the money in my hand.
