Out of curiosity,i gave this FW a short try but found it to be a bit on bright side (to my ears) and a little lacking in the bass department.Tried it with HO straight into Beyer's DT 770 250Ω and LO feeded into Pico Power with the same phones and still the same sound sig.Switch back to Lurker0's latest now.

@Zvermetel: Just wanted to respond to a week-old question. I found 2.1.5L2/L3 sounding better than 2.1.8L0 (so I went back to Lurker's 2.1.5L2).
 
@ALL: Sorry if asked before, but is there a way or a mod to not charge the battery when DX90 is used as USB DAC? Following the good audiophile traditions, wanted to get the battery powered DAC, but maybe DX90 can be used as such DAC (i.e. USB only as data line).

Remove the battery while DX90 is connected via USB, you will get similar effect.

Running 2.1.8FW. Definitely glitchy and the SD card reading time is inconsistent. It was quite fast the first time. But now takes quite long. 
 
Should I go back to 2.1.5? does it really sound better than 2.1.8? (I haven't really noticed)

It just depends on your own preferences. For my ears 2.1.5 L2 is more relaxed and natural sounding than 2.1.8. But others do prefer this version more. 2.1.5. L2 works great, you can find the download link at the first page.

Not really a playlist. Cue sheets enable you to rip a CD as one file for true Gapless playback but still identify individual songs and be able to skip through them as if there were multir songs.

The drawback of CUE playback using the DX90: The list of songs is not displayed. One must press FORWARD/BACK in order to get to the desired one.

It works on foobar not the dx90. What are the syntax that we need to take note?
