I just tried, it actually switches on, you can hear the relais click sound, the screen remains black, then on switching off, again the relais ckick, the green indicator shows for a few seconds.
Waiting for new fw, you guys what bugs do you find on 2.3.0?

i still use 2.1.0  the soundstage and separation is way better then the newer fw for me

A new FW will be out shortly. We had one ready but then found that the balance was not working. There is always something. So we are fixing that and then will get it loaded on our site.

In the past i had the problem, that in 'All Music & random' mode the player in rare cases skips to the next track - some second(s) before the current has finished.
 
This behaviour is from the start in May '14 with both dx90s (one was a replacement unit) with all firmware versions up to 2.3.0. But I am still using the 2.2 firmware, because the 2.3 sound signature is too bright for me.
 
Still trying to hope that the next firmware will resolve any issue and follow the former sound characteristics of v2.2/2.1

Anyone have any sq comparison against fw 2.1.0 up until 2.30? I seems to be able to find it in the past. I have been searching this thread for an hour. But I can't find it

if ou have the dx90 the best is to try the out it takes only a minute to flash
 
2.1.0 is better for soundstage detail (due to soundstage and layering) bass and smoother treble sounds analogy - my personal favourite though separation and layering is better in 2.0.5 but bass suffers and its too wide and thin
 
2.3.0 is not special for me its compressed sounding and digital.
 
its what yo prefer.

Thanks Paul. User interface/firmware is a very serious undertaking. We appreciate all the hard work. As far as chsrging the unit. I recommend getting a spare battery or 3 and an external charger. Since I did that I've never charged my dx90 the old fashioned way. Very convenient.

I bought 6 batteries and an external charger. swap every week.
