Didn't reboot for me either so I did a manual reset. If you have the new firmware it will have the new digital filter under Settings which 2.0 didn't have.

OK, I do have the digital filter, do I just experiment with it, is there a setting preferred, or settings for different situations/music?

Yeah I fond the fast roll off to be more instantly gratifying. But then as I listened longer found myself always switching back to the slow.

This made me think of a convo I had with an aerospace engineer today. He said that when they were trying to get the best res from cameras on space missions they used to deal with phase shift created by the filter by running it back through the filter in the opposite direction. I suspect they threw out what was below a certain threshold of noise or bandwidth first but he said it corrected a lot of anomalies in low level res. He's an audiophile that isn't a fan a digital audio in general.

Oops I posted in the wrong post. Mine is a DX50>PB2>TH600 (recabled with canare star quad)
Sounds great! The recable made the cans less sibilant and slightly warmer and more bassy. Its also the first time I heard the TH600 out of the hirose balanced connection on the PB2. Sounds fuller to me

About to place order for DX90. I read some of you guys hear improvement when using Samsung S3 batteries, where do you guys buy yours? There so many fakes floating on Amazon and ebay, how can you tell which one are real?

The ebay dealer I got mine from has them now for 19.95. I got mine for 9.95 and they do sound better than the original battery. I ended up buying 4 and paralleled two of them. I don't see any of the good prices now but with the true Samsun battery, mine are made in Korea, to me, the sound does improve but is still very good with the original battery.

Yes, that is who I got my batteries from.
Not really esoteric at all. If the battery has a lower ESR, you get better current delivery and everything is built on a good power supply in electronics. The battery is the source for that power supply, The better the battery, the better the results and that goes to sound, how could it not?
