I personally do not like foam tips.  I've often tried dual-flanged, but they just never sit right with me.  But the JVC Spiral Dot (EP-FX9M-B) tips are what I'm using and they work for me.  But I'm still keen on earhooks or anything else DUNU has.  But all-in-all, I've come to love my 2002s.

One thing I'd like to find out is if you wear the cable over the ear, does it not cause the cable to deteriorate (faster) in the section that goes behind your ear?  Because of any excess oils or whatever else it's exposed to.  Just wondering as I quite like them over the ears when I use the left earpiece on the right cable and the right earpiece on the left cable.  Though wearing them downward works well enough for me anyhow.

As far as cables breaking down from oils, I've found it depends on the cable material. "Rubbery" cables, like the 2002, seem to hold up and not harden and eventually crack. The more "plasticky" cables, I avoid like the plague, as they seem to fail rather quickly. Fortunately most of the higher end IEMs that I own use the more robust materials. As a general rule, I always wipe my cables down after use whether I wear them over or down. It's a habit I picked up from using the old style Shure IEMs. They would harden and crack in a few months.

BTW, I reached out to DUNU and they are sending out the newly designed ear hooks to me. I can't praise their support enough. If only all companies had DUNU's customer service ethics.

not too bad I guess but I can see where this is leading for the 4001 price :veryevil:

but looks very nice, I dig the 13mm DD & actually looks kinda ergonomic like the Titan, compared to other Dunu hybrids bullet shape

i wonder if you reverse L/R cable sides can they be worn cable-down? my brain's too weak to visualize this, like one of those IQ test geometry puzzles... I guess it depends on the angle they sit at in individual's ears, box art makes it look almost horizontal which wouldn't work I reckon.

Can't find many pics of dunu's copper cable, I'm not even sure if the Amazon listing is legit since no1s given it a rating.

For those with the 2002.  I just want to find out, when wearing cable down how exactly do you place these in your ears?
What I'm looking to find out is if the back of the earphone is pressed against your outer ear or if it points straight out?  I think this depends on the tips, but I'm trying to get an idea.  The previous DN models press against the ear but then they fit snuggly.

I got my cable from Penon Audio (together with the IEMS).  Which brings me to another question.  The left wire's metal cover on my cable does not stay in place (that covers where the cable joins the mmcx connector).  It slides down the cable when pulling the cable from the speaker (very upsetting, and it did it on my very first disconnect, not even from abuse).  It seems likely to me that this metal cover is merely aesthetic and possibly not even for (much) protection, so not too bad.  But what I'd like to find out is what can I do to keep it in place?  Is there some 'glue' or something that is used?  Mind you, it's not loose as such but the force used to disconnect the speaker from the cable is enough to dislodge it.  I have to just push it back in place.
