What kind of cans are you using to test the unit? HD650's or K701's?

The hum was due to wall wart. The battery wasn't charged. Running on the battery, there's no hum. I'm not going to post more impressions until I have a chance to spend some time with this.

Do you mean a hum is all you get or you just started developing a hum? It so, reseat all connectors and physically move to a different area. Please let us know ASAP.

It's probably do to the wallwart touching the chassis when it's plugged in...I had the same thing happen to a PRII of mine.
