haha, they have confirmed the UK price of the D7000 at £800 (more than $1500)

Denon AH-D7000 headphones - Forums at CNET.co.uk

the D5000 are £500 in the UK (roughly $950) but I got mine from audiocubes for around $600, so USA will probably be around $1000

I got a Denon brochure with some details of the D7000 at a local audio store today...it says the pads are made of "soft leather" and "special urethane"...

If you go to the Denon USA website they have the D7000 on there with an MSRP of $999. They also have a brochure there stating the earpads and headband are leather.

In the brochure for the D2000 and D5000 they do not say the earpads and headband are leather.

Well, they sure do LOOK nice. But at 25 ohms, they're probably not for me. Pity

Those new Denon's look pretty snazzy. I like shiny phones.

Ouch. I have quickly lost interest.

Yeah the price for those headphones is outrageous. Over inflated prices are not uncommon for new products I suppose. They're nice to look at though.

Do not you want to upgrade your D5000?
Compare D7000, D5000, Darths and MD5000 Deluxe?
And tell us what do you think then?

Yes, I would like to do that! Not going to happen, though, I don't think. Too much money for the D7000, and their very low impedance makes them a poor choice for my tube amps.
