We all know this classic joke:

A horse walks into a bar. The bartender looks up and says, "Why the long face?"​

My friend Bob teaches music at an exclusive private school in NYC. Many of his kids are scary bright and possess a quality of dark irony that few of us have. After he told this joke to one of his music classes, a young man, no more than 10 yrs old, raised his hand and said, "I can make that joke even better." Bob of course agreed, so the kid reframed the joke.
