?Is it worth to get the Chord Chordette EX Dac in 2023 for around 400$?
You can only know after trying it in your setup. Measures worse than the newer Chord stuff, but, imo, still very decent red book performance. One thing to note is that it has a higher, 3V line output vs the standard 2V. I like that because it gives more headroom for EQ, preamp. Is it worth to get the Chord Chordette EX Dac in 2023 for around 400$?
buy mojo 2 without any second thought. Is it worth to get the Chord Chordette EX Dac in 2023 for around 400$?
Could be a ground loop. Try it over toslink, or bt, without the psu connected. I had issues with other power bricks, laptop wall warts mainly, polluting the grid.Good evening, I have Hugo 1, I like it, but I noticed a slight background noise some time ago, is there any mod or way to improve it? I notice this noise using the Andromeda S... Mainly between one song and another...
Yep it does with these sensitive BAs, but kicks ass with DD iems. IE900 is great with Hugo 1 even against the newer Poly 2.Good evening, I have Hugo 1, I like it, but I noticed a slight background noise some time ago, is there any mod or way to improve it? I found that A/B testing is not as reliable as living with the DAC for a couple of weeks and then going back to the other one.No i only tested each device separately as all-in-one options, i don't want a multi elements setup.
I liked hugo 1 a bit more that h2. Just preference for the bass and vocals of less pulse arrays and taps that hugo 1 has. But that’s just me. Buying new I’d be happy if I was buying said to get h2 and tt2. But concerning value? The trade off is used battery life. My h1 is going great 9 years later but I treat it like a pampered granny.I've experience with a Mojo 1 (so-so for me), Mojo 2 (excellent), and Hugo 2 (really excellent) - would welcome any further thoughts on where the Hugo 1 fits in both on the DAC and amp side, and whether it's still worth looking at these days?
