Great comparison. Matches my impressions.

Nice review agree that RU6 is very tube sounding without being a tube amp.
Thanks for sharing these settings. If you set the RU6 to high gain with a volume of 76 you should get good results.
+1Exactly
Whats the gain/volume level sweet spot to connect RU6 to an amp with 4.4 balanced? I am aware that in SE it is 76

Thanks for this. There is no definite sweet spot and it depends on the pairing. Unfortunately, my amp takes in balanced only, so I will carefully experiment and figure it out.If you are referring to double amping RU6 with an external amplifier, I don't think 76 for single-ended is the definite answer. I believe the number derived from my previous explanation on this subject, and 76 happens to be the sweet spot of a particular pairing.

Question to those using the RU6 as a DAC to an external amp - do you set the RU6 to low gain or high gain?
I assume max volume too?

Thank you very much for this.RU6 does not have a line-out feature. IF you want to connect RU6 as a DAC to an external amplifier, you'll be running your system with double amping because the headphone amplifier of RU6 is not bypassed.

This is voltage out put from Ru6 at max volume (100) then each step reduction of 5 level to volume70.Thank you very much for this.
My intention is to do double amp so I can use the RU6 with a topping NX7 and power a ZMF Atrium, for when feel like moving away from the desktop setup. I would go RU6 single ended out to NX7 single ended in.
Is there a chart similar to this one for the Mojo2, which shows the Vrms output at each different volume level. It would be good to know the output power levels at each of the volume steps on the RU6 single ended.
Thanks for all the info you've provided already. Very helpful.
Awesome. Thank you! This is voltage out put from Ru6 at max volume (100) then each step reduction of 5 level to volume70.
