When I try to delete a conversation thread from my inbox, I receive a notification box that says: "There was a problem submitting this to the server. Please try again."
 
Could you please look into this?
 
It would also be nice to actually be able to delete messages from our trash.

Try this in Chrome then Firefox.  Report back if you still have the issue.
