Button removal for Grado's

The button does have a bit of effect on the sound but you would have to take the phones apart, heat the area around the button and remove all the glue from the inside so all the holes are open. The risk is too high for the gains to be had, which again, are minimal.

I took the buttons off of my SR-80s with bent-tipped needle nosed pliers. I would not recommend doing this to the 225's. It took alot of force and I could see the back mesh starting to bend. The dried glue is barely visible though. You can only see a faint outline of the button when you shine a light on it at a certain angle.

It's a big risk to take for small aesthetic improvement.
