Just saw these on Lendmeurears and they seem really nice, really beautiful. Can't say i have heard anything from Astrotec but i'm really liking the metal and wood.
Also they're only $50!

They're fairly new so couldn't find any mention of them anywhere, if anybody know how they sound chip in.

Pics (damn they look good)

Seriously thinking about buying these even though i just bought the VC02 and FXT90. The girlfriends probably gonna confiscate my wallet if i do though......

They come in red as well. Very classy looking IEM.

:frowning2: My VC02s are still slightly less than a week old and here comes the potential new king of the <=50 buck price range. Design looks great, but less minimal than the VC02 and larger. Still it looks to be more substantial; I've had to baby my VC02s out of fear for their small size and memory-prone cable that is
already kinking up. . Just hope Astrotec can live up to their debut effort, the AM90 in sound and design for the price.

Yeah the VC02 seem so fragile, the cable is so thin. The upside is they just disappear when you have them on :)
i think i'm gonna buy this next month together with the GR02. So maybe if i practice on some audiophile jargon i can make a review :p

Lol was searching for it on Google to see if i could find the red version and looked at Amazon and one seller (the only seller) is selling them for $998. Guess you're getting a pretty good deal if you get them for 50....

I feel like asking that seller what he smoked before listing those headphones on Amazon.

I picked a set of these up in red. I will be using them with my iP5, iP4, and maybe my first generation Touch. They are rated at 16ohm. From what I understand, the phone will be able to carry enough power to the AM800s. Is an external amp necessary? The answer seems to be, "No."

I've made a proper A/B comparison between many 50$ in-ear products.

Based on pure sound quality on my Colorfly CK4+ DAP , here we have :

VSonic VDS1s > HiSound Flamenco > BrainWavz R1 > HiSound E212 > Astrotec AM-90 (vocal heaven) > AM-800 > SoundMagic E10 > SoundMagic E30 > BrainWavz M2 > Dunu Trident >>> Sennheiser / AKG stuff

So . . . VSonics are the best based on the "greater than" symbol you used?  Or does it go from worst to best (left to right) with the Senn/AKG being the best?
