And the best techno headphones are...

I'll chime-in with Contrastique concerning how satisfying the Proline 750's from Ultrasone are for Electronica in general, including but not limited to Techno.

They have good synergy with an iPod Nano 2nd gen right out of the headphone jack for this kind of music.

I listen to a lot of Internet radio stations streaming at 192, 160 and 128 kbps (Soma, Groove Salad, ABF, HBR1 stations) and fill my iPod using iFill (I just mentioned this at the big Ultrasone thread). They all sound remarkable!

Very melty, smooth, deep-bass, trippy. I love these over any others for this kind of music.

You mean he is in in love with his headphone.

I'm sure it extends beyond that though since he makes fanboyism seem sane. I realize my fanboyism can be nauseating at times, but at least I freely admit that Senns have their own presentation that some will like and others will think too dark. Cotdt, on the other hand, is unwaivering in even argueing with Tyll that he doesn't know what he's talking about in headphone field equalization when Tyll says that both Sennheiser and AKG have world class R&D

Personally, I like small soundstage and bright for a headphone for fast paced techno (Grado). Looks like others on this thread like more bass, while others like bass and soundstage. I like bass and soundstage for other electronica though......so it looks like for this genre, it runs all over the place

Your version was grammatically correct too. Headphone is one of those funny words where the singular/plural rules aren't entirely set in stone.

Team budget keying in here for the K81djs. Pure bass bliss.

I personally prefer the SR-60 over the stock K81DJ for electronica. The
K81DJ is just way too boomy and not snappy enough for me. Of course I
didn't try removing the foam on the K81DJ since it wasn't mine.

Yeah pretty much and just generally playing with EQ to get the best sound for particular genre.
