It get some nice reviews around here, and most seem to conclude that its a good match for the hard to drive Stax 'phones.

Hello Kai! Nice to see you and Spritzer have kept things going. Where's Carl?
I may still try to pull together the comparison test; it was close at the beginning, but now that both amps have settled in, the KGSS is a pretty clear winner. I sure am wanting to try a BH though!!

If I remember correctly someone on Head-Fi had offline contact with him. He's alive and kicking (thank god), but are busy in his personal life.
He will hopefully visit us some day...
