I'm looking into adding a pair of analog panel meters in a Bijou I've been slowly putting together. The meters are analog and will display 0-100 mA. The seller also has a little control board for a stereo pair of meters and a transformer that would be able to power it. Here's his store: http://shop.ebay.com/super-market8/m.html?_trksid=p4340.l2562 (no affiliation).

My question is, would I get much visible range running these meters with the Bijou? Are there better options out there, or is this pretty sound?

TIA.

You might want to look at VU meters which are meant for this: http://cgi.ebay.com/VU-Meter-Warm-Back-Light-Recording-Audio-Level-Amp-2PC-/260673841713?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3cb15f2a31

I looked into these for my upcoming EHHA build, but then decided not to when I would need another transformer just for the controller board for the meters.

The idle current of the Bijou is pretty constant. They will do basically nothing.

You will get much more functionality out of Vu-meters.
