[2021 Update] Venture Electronics (VE) Monk V2, Monk Plus & Monk Go: a $5 earbud that taking the world by storm!!!

I'm afraid that the VE Monk will be discontinued soon, so I bought myself a pair of VE Monk from local dealer

First impression is excellent, way better than my KZs (ATE, EDR2, ANV) :basshead:  Listening for long period does not cause discomfort or fatigue

An excellent choice for under $10 :L3000:  I love VE Monk more than my Hifiman RE400, gonna compare them to the Baldoor E100 (1st version, Mrice sucks :)))
Mrice e100/better, than Baldoor e100, lol

my Baldoor was with white triangular box and Mrice in a rectangular white.

Good or meh SQ, I could not get any fit with them, how much I wanted it! Tried everything. Monks might be less sq-wise, but they at least fit like any other earbud :)

Try to wear over your ears like custom IEMs. That might work.

Anyone got monk burn-in routines?
i try to leave them playing from my desktop's headphone out jack whenver i'm not using them to keep the burn in going...

no idea how many hours i'm at though.

Dumb question but is it possible to get "bad burn in" by burning in too loud or with low quality sounces? I just don't want to burn in my monks with thousands of hours of mp3s thru a computer's built in headphone out. I just thought it would save on electricity, not having my head amp and DAC running all the time too...

If your computer's headphone out volume isn't too weak or you don't set the volume low, I don't think there will be problem. I use bass heavy songs to burn in my stuffs.
