Do you know how to take off the volume knob on the SRM-252S? I'd be interested in seeing the internals and maybe adjust the gain if possible. A gain of 800x is too dam high with a 2V input!

Also I didn't know the SRM-252S is a class A amp; it barely gets warm at all.

It's a common misconception. It's a shame that you seem to dislike all aggressive vocals, because some of the most phenomenal songs I've heard have them. I guess if you tried ignoring the vocals, you could still enjoy the rest.
