I've always wondered, for you guys who like ani-music, is it better to have more prominent bass, or more prominent vocals/whatever? I know it depends on the song, but in general, which would you prefer. Personally, I'm at a crossroads where I can't tell the difference between me liking the Thump or thinking that it's too distracting. Just wanted to see your preferences ^^

it just depends on what you want to hear.

personally, I like bass and treble more pronounced while mids are recessed.

Just bought the tdk clef p to try out. Yep they were hkd199 in shamshuipo

These can actually fit deep despite the thick tube thanks to the tiny tips they come with plus the long tube length. I'm liking the stock sound much more than the SHE3580... in fact open box impression is these are like warmed up etys :basshead:

What's a balanced V signature? Is "balanced" different from "flat"?

Bass_______                          _______Treble

Yes, balanced usually refers to a bass and treble emphasis with recessed mids. Imagine a V balancing on its point rather than balanced as neutral.

I think he means equal parts bass and treble accentuated, with mids recessed.

I can't say that I have one end-all sound sig right now but out of everything I've tried so far I seem to like the laid back, relatively mid centric and vocally forward Hd600 sound the best...

So if, let's say I wanted a mid centric/emphasized, would that be an upside down V shape?

I like to consider it more of an n curve due to the natural roll off in bass because of the open back dynamic driver design, and a slightly rolled off treble as to not be fatiuging.

Ah. Thanks guys for helping me clarify this.

310 unread posts... been trying to catch up for two days but the backlog just keeps piling up.  What have I missed?

This.

Damn...definitely want to go to the Netherlands for DAT BREAD.

An unusual euphemism for the red-light district. You're growing up haibunyan~~<3 :3

One of my favorite OPs this season.

Good choice.

All 1080p content is free leech on BBT and animebytes.
I prefer AB just because it has stuff licensed in 'mericuh and more 1080p content than BBT. Also a lot faster than nyaa.
Also, protip: download all those top 10, not to watch (they're all "supposedly" pretty horrible :p) but to gain upload if you're having trouble. I left them on overnight and got 1.x ratios on all them in about 12 hours...
Also, I didn't know there was such a huge disparity between each country's bread!!!

AB is closed for registering for now though.

Mostly interested in the t50rp to hear what orthos sound like; but I suppose I can just wait for winter break and listen to my friend's lcd-2s. The modding for the t50rp's seems like too much effort for me at the moment so I probably won't get a pair unless I feel a lot more motivated.

It's not really hard to be honest. Just get some cotton or gut a teddy bear for the stuffing, some non-dying modelling clay (plasticine), acoustic foam and a pair of shure 840 pads, and you basically double what the T50Rp is capable of stock.

@seeding I find seeding for H in BBT works wonders for my ratio btw. People are horny, and there are a lot of people.
