    Audio Technica ATH-A500 and ATH-A700 are almost the same price?

    I was thinking of buying some Audio Technica ATH-A500 and doing some modds on them But the ATH-A500 prices are with in $10 of the ATH-A700s. I would assume the A500 would a lot cheaper then the A700s. Why do the A500s cost so much?
