Oh! Interesting point - 404's still work after being soaked in water. (Don't) ask me how I know

I have to get a plastic cover for them for sure...

Wouldn't that damage the stretchable head band?

This is not mine.......I have another two innovations, one banana hanger and one floor standing toilet paper holder in the bedroom as I have no space on top ....

Similar to this one but more stylish and all chromed and with no toilet paper of course:

Actually, I think the toilet paper would be the perfect way to distribute weight along the headband and prevent it from getting scratched!

PS: And no, I'm not kidding

I inserted a foam roll instead of the toilet paper...BTW the metal piece never had marked the headband but just in case.

Zoide posted a headphone stand?

No I didn't, but either NightStalker got confused or it's just the way he wrote it that makes it seem like that's what he said.

Though I'll post a pick of the hook I use for my HD-580s when I get back home. For the CD-3000s, I either keep them on the table or inside their humongous (truly, truly huge) case.

I take it you mean the stand, not the water...

It's not a problem. The headband isn't stretchable - it is solid "leatherette" with adjustable side holders. Also, as the holder's pads (actually, the entire holder) is covered in felt there is a small amount of friction helping to maintain position.

Well, wouldn't the adjustable side holders get stretched or something? I mean, I take it you'd have the cans hanging from there for hours and hours (say overnight for two weeks is like 100 hours).

Nah, the side holders don't stretch either. They are solid and slide up / down the outer frame for adjustability. Nothing is "stretchy" on a Stax. For the Stax being put on this holder is the equivalent of being put on a head - the same forces are involved, no more (less, for I designed the pad-to-pad distance to take the "static" Stax dimensions into account)

Ok, after rummaging through a hardware/kitchen supply store I came across an interesting paper towel-holder that's now become my temporary headphone holder (until I can get my hands on a cool exotic wood one!)...here 'tis

Is it heavy? Where to get it? I like it....And I have a nice one, banana hanger style, but with green wood on the base and top, combined with chromed metal, very nice, an italian one, but this one looks better to my eyes, not sure about the sturdiness....how is it?
