Absolute best budget earbuds?

Thanks for the reply!
I checked Taobao. There are many sellers offering e808+.  Does the higher price mean that I'd get "good" earbuds? Probably not.

I always check a taobao seller's site photos to make sure there's E808+ moulded on the splitter & the front cover mesh has 5-of-diamond shaped holes in it. I think with this 2 criteria, there's a better chance of getting a good one. If you plan to buy many - buy a sample unit first to test, before buying larger quantity from the same seller.

My most recent budget buys - K's 64, RY4S and Yinman 64.

Of which so far, I'd recommend the RY4S, remarkably good for the price. Bassier than my usual preference, but very listenable.

K's 64 not bad but I wouldn't put it in any 'best-of' list.

Arrived today - Yinman 64. I may need to give it more of a chance, I've had a hard day :-D Current impression a bit upfront and possibly some harshness around the mids similar to how I found the TY HP32S. Initial impressions - my least favourite of the 3.

As usual, this is purely my subjective findings!!

That's a shame. I've sent them a message asking if they will be getting more. Luckily for me I got my third set a couple of weeks ago.

It is a shame if they will end up no longer carrying the E808+.  I have 3 pairs however, so as long as I baby it I will not go wanting for quite some time.

TBH, I was surprised to see it being sold internationally on Ali in the first place. I think China is getting strict on products being sold outside the country. Specifically, the use of product brand labeling. Hopefully, some smart china businessmen who realises the popularity of this earbud, manufactures a bunch of these blank shells and continue selling them on Ali. I think that should pass muster with the china customs.

With the incoming 4 budget earbuds, I think that'll put me at 20 or so different types in my possession, give or take a couple.  At some point I really should just weed through which ones are special to me and which should be given away.

I bought the same amount of ear buds, actually more... I'm an on-a-budget audiophile connoisseur and I find that most members aren't that way, so I want to build knowledge and write reviews for people who don't have a big wad of dispensable cash.

Thanks @Willber for sorting out the E808+ issue with the Ali seller. Seems like he's using a similarly-priced IEM as a proxy to purchase E808+.

Yeah, seems a bit strange but they've always given me good service in the past. I hope they get back to me with a better solution.

BTW, to those interested here is a link to the complete post in the Earbuds Roundup thread:

It's likely he's trying to avoid a branding-issue with E808+.
Let's talk less about this topic on the forums, as it may be against the rules.

I just wish he had chosen a more respectable looking IEMs, that's all.

I don't know if you guys consider $17 budget anymore. I picked up TY Hi Z Hp150 and i think it might be my top bud (compared to qian39, k 64, monk plus, ty hi z 32, fareal 32, **** pt15). Anyways, I do like it though if I didn't pick i tup used it would be just out of what I ideally want to pay. It has a very clear sound over all, excellent lower end, pleasing sound. It works straight out of my iphone even though it is 150 ohms, which is a surprise to me.
