Subbed....and ordered (@ Penon)

How could I resist after positive comments by highly regarded members and at such an incredible (low) price

Besides that: the shape reminds me of my ''old'' Stagediver SD2 which provided a superb fit/seal for a universal one.

Here are my initial impressions after some time with them, was told that the demo unit had about 40hrs prior to my listening.

Fit is comfortable no doubt. Cable does look like its custom and not as perfectly braided compared to westone's. Shell can be a little plasticky, but I'm really just being picky.

Lows hits with impact with shorter decay as compared to the Dita Audio Brass; intensity is on par.

Mids are slightly recessed.

Highs are well extended that doesn't sound congested with fast tracks.

In short, it's sounds like a 40% improvement over the Shozy Zero and approximately 80% the performance of the Dita Audio Brass. The brass sounds smoother with clearer micro details.

It does lack some refinement and coherence which might be attiributed to the lack of burn in.

"20% improvement over the Shozy Zero" LOL I seriously hope this statement is inaccurate. Please report back after burn in as others has suggested these need around 100 hrs of burn in

I was googling for this IEM and found this Chinese post from back in July: http://tieba.baidu.com/p/4675814008

There are some nice pictures and some early impressions. Unfortunately you need a Chinese mobile number to register with the forum and I don't have one. As such, I can't read beyond the first page of replies. I'll translate the parts that matter to the best of my ability, with personal comments in parentheses.

  1. Final production model
  2. Reverse molded process (I'm guessing similar to CIEMs)
  3. Double BA TWFK30017 + custom dynamic driver + removable MMCX cable - these features are not what you'd expect in a RMB1688 IEM
  4. Build quality and connection quality are great for this price range
  5. Fit is comfortable
  6. Vocals are decent, good separation, decent soundstage with good 'ambience' (not sure how to translate this)
  7. Bass energy seems to have taken a hit from pre-production models, but still very sufficient
  8. Overall sound is laid back, with nuanced harmonics
  9. Vocals are rich, highs are bright, overall these are rather balanced
  10. Details are good thanks to the dual BAs
  11. 并且IT03保持了比较高的灵敏度和易驱动性 (I have zero idea what this means)
  12. Removable MMCX increases its versatility
  13. Weighs 9g without cable
  14. Isolation is above average at -30dB, providing an immersive listening experience
  15. This IEM has challenged my personal expectations that high prices necessitate high performance and vice versa
  16. Fit, amongst most UIEMs, comes closest to that of a CIEM
  17. PSA: these may not fit comfortably in the ear canals of younger people, as they have been modelled for the average adult
  18. Conclusion - worth the money

On to his replies, at least on the first page:
  1. Q: is this suitable for female vocals? A: yes
  2. Q: is this a warm or 'cold' sounding IEM? A: depends on your source and amp
  3. Q: seems like a fingerprint magnet. A: it's alright

it is definitely worth the $ in all honesty. No hype train.

Good lord I wouldn't say the sound is 'laid back' - quite the opposite :D
klove4252
As for genres - I found classical to be extraordinary with them. My least favourite genre as been modern exaggerated digital bass
type music - you know, that new fangled hippity hoppity stuff :) Joking apart - On occasion, I find they don't like or cope 'perfectly'
with artificial bass. I find they render actual analog bass instruments very well with.natural, rich and deep low end
Anyhoo, will post detailed review today
