I just noticed your post, too. I had the same problem with my DX200, only worse. The UI seemed to have a mind of its own, both in Android and Mango. At times it was unusable. It was very irritating. It seemed to me like it might be a hardware issue involving the touchscreen capacitors, but it's hard to say.

I've returned it to the vendor, who pledged to ship out a replacement. Hopefully, soon. :)

Did both of you guys who had UI issues buy your DX200 from Amazon U.S?

I have the same issue. Virtual taps and swipes on the screen. First day, just received from amazon us. This is very frustrating and makes the player unusable.

I'm sorry to hear that you've also had this happen to you. I suggest you write to the Amazon vendor, who is already well acquainted with the issue.

This makes four cases that we know of. The number is probably higher, since not everyone who buys a DX200 and has a problem posts on Head-fi.

Would Paul care to step in to let us know what iBasso thinks the problem might be here? Any guesses? Obviously, this hasn't happened to most purchasers, but for those of us who have experienced the issue, it's quite a pain.

And just how prevalent do they think this problem is? I would hate, for example, to receive another DX200 from the Amazon U.S. vendor and experience the same problem.

Also, Amazon counts this as a high value return, which increases your chances of a ban...

guys, scanning is fast like cowon daps?

I don't have a Cowon but the scan time of the DX200 is extremely good. I also like the fast transfer rate when you load music to the internal memory. It is as fast or faster than my better cards and faster than any of my external hard drives.

Hi

Am new here and just bought a DX200. I have a couple of questions if you can help :

1. Is it necessary to wipe the firmware on DX200 before installing the latest 1.3.60, or can I just transfer and install the new firmware on the DX200?

2.  Does it make  a difference if chosed the Win8 drivers (since there is no Win10 drivers in the downloaded file) to install even though I am on Windows 10?

3. When I follow the instruction on the Batch Tool, step 2 states select firmware, and there is a pop up to select the firmware directory and file. Do I skip this so that no file is selected or which file should I choose? (I dont have permission to add the screenshot)

4. After I install the new firmware, how do I flash the DX200 again?

Thanks for your help.

You don't have to use the batch tool to install the FW. If you do use the batch tool the you have to use the .img that is unzipped and that FW is on the first page of this thread. Otherwise you have go to ibasso and download that FW and unzip it. Then there is another zip file and that one you put directly on a card to do an update. The directions are in the user manual that is on ibasso on the last page of the DX200 page. You don't wipe the DX200 before installing the FW, you just do the update.

I am about to purchase my first DAP that will compliment my new Audeze LCD-XC headphones. I was almost set on buying an A&K 320 or 380 until I started to read about the DX200. It almost sounds too good to be true for the price. However trying to buy one seems to be an impossible task in the UK. I think there is one supplier which is showing out of stock with no eta. I noticed one member on here had bought direct from Ibasso so I tried that way only to be told at checkout that its out of stock!! Does anyone have any idea whats going on?

Hello, I've read reviews about that changed the protector of screen.
As they extracted the protection of manufactures?
With this change, experience less lag in mango os?

Is it possible to fix this delay with an update?, it is annoying to navigate the interface, but it disappears when inspecting the albums

Best regards

We will have a FW to fix for the lag with Mango. We also have a fix coming for the few screens with touch problems where the screen reacts on it own.

iBasso Stay updated on iBasso at their sponsor profile on Head-Fi.

Thanks for the reply. I contacted Paul who I must admit was very responsive, great support from iBasso. I started a replacement process already and I hope the new unit doesn't have the same issue. Though Paul did mention that they will be fixing the screen issues in firmware soon. Hope it works out!
Meanwhile the sound coming out of this thing... I don't want to part with it.
