I do believe he made an 'off hand comment' in passing that AES was his preferred digital audio format into the Jggy.

And after comparing AES3 vs. SPDIF I concur, well into my PWD anyways.

Looks like next summer at Bayreuth they're doing the mature canon: ring, meistersinger, tristan, and parsifal. I'll be there!

I am jealous -- in particular on the Meistersinger  -  I have never seen it live.  Let me know how the acoustics agree with you.

Saw James Levine conduct it at the met, and then saw it here in SF last fall. Levine wasn't as lethargic as the guy we got (too forgettable to bother googling his name). I'm sure our Wagner society will have tickets available if you wanna join.

This could actually remove Windoze from my audio Trigger Warning list.

Hopefully the Windows insiders will give it the thumbs up for mass consumption.

Crying. Waiting. Hoping.

Now for something completely different.  BOLO for a new vanguard of fuglytivity brought to your neighborhood by none other than Schiit Audio.  It is difficult, no impossible for me to express how repulsive the aesthetics (lack thereof) of this product are.  In true "Schiit rolls downhill" fashion, it will be users of our Magni/Modi sized products necessarily targeted.  I have dubbed it Cthulhu.   It clearly argues function trumps aesthetics by a wide margin.  It is a veritable home wrecker.  Mine will be installed covered by at least three bags, lest two break.  This visual abomination is entirely Jason's doing.  It is truly stunning.

I think Mike is trying to tell us is that he is afraid of even taking a picture of Cthulhu lest break his camera.

The speakers Jason used to make were no living room pleasers on the eyes. Very low WAF (Wife Acceptace Factor).
