Wow.  Yes serial numbers would be helpful as these will probably flow into the second hand market.  Though seriously, I don't know how the thief is planning on selling this without getting caught.

mmm........just a thought: please post a picture of what an Orpheus serial number looks like. Most of us have not had a chance to see an Orpheus, much less know what an Orpheus serial number looks like. I mean, if the thief is sophisticated enough, he/she can simply make up some bogus serial number and tag the stolen goods. Speaking of an Orpheus for sale, there is one right now at eBay being sold at usd28,000.00, compared to usd35,000.00 a couple of years ago. Lol!. With the Orpheus 2 coming, I expect more of the original Orpheus to be offered for sale at even lower prices.

I dont want to sound like I second theft (far from it) but the prices on these premium products are what is making it worth it for the thieves.
I do hope that all the stuff gets recovered and the perpetrator arrested.

Oh my goodness, what awful news.  I was listening to (presumably that) Orpheus at Canjam just a few days ago.  Let's all keep our eyes & ears open....it should hopefully not be easy for the thieves to sell on such an item without someone on here finding out.

I wonder how is it possible to steal something in such a secure envoirment.

I mean, Berlin is not exactly the average city when it comes to security, and even more so with a lot of people around.

This makes me wonder, is it even possible to sell it, or the theif stole it for his personal usage?

Maybe there is some sort of audiophile mafia
biggrin.gif
? This sounds less realistic than if the thief being another company who wants to reverse engineer the headphone.

This is horrible news indeed. I hope they catch the thieves quickly.
