FLC Technology FLC8 and FLC8s Impressions Thread

Haven't heard either.

But then according to that analogy - surely the SE846 must be superior to the FLC8S

More expensive
More drivers
More tech (in the bass port)

See what jumping to illogical conclusions does?

To someone who absolutely loves the KZ tonality and fit, it may well be superior (for them) to the K10.

All this talk about FCL8S having better mids, or better bass, or better treble (or whatever) is just very funny when:
 - it is variable based on which filter you use
 - it is totally subjective depending on individual preferences

Rather than talking about better or best - isn't it better to talk about strengths and comparative differences - and let individuals decide if one is better than the other?

Just my 2c

To be honest, I don't think 846 is more tech in the bass port, it's only a damperner, many ways can realize the goal, a filter like TF10, a small hole like UE900,technology should make things more simple, in stead of more complicated.

But commercially, it's very very success.

So my FLC8s are arriving from LMUE today, what im wondering is about burn in.

Im assuming burn in on the headphones shouldnt matter what filters are in place correct? Nothing in the burn in process should affect something like interchangeable filters i would think.

Also 2nd....how do i burn in headphones :p ive never actually done a true burn in on any of my gear except a bit on my dx90 using the provided burn in cable

you could be a tad more . . . au natural ?
Johann Sebastian Bach's Brandenburg Concertos has a wonderful dynamic range and mix of different instruments
Strictly speaking Organ Music has the greatest dynamic range but you have to be careful with it !!

Why to be careful?

Oh i just mean they have some Very low frequencies which if played TOO loud 'might possibly do some damage'
Im only basing that on warnings I have read for certain albums with speakers
Its better, I feel to err on the side of gentle respect / caution
It depends on how you view burning in.  As someone who works with audio I feel a little uncomfortable at the thought of
burning in headphones using white / pink noise. Im not saying there is anything wrong with that butttt to quote an analogy...
if you have wolves who are worrying your sheep at night, you could put out landmines to kill them
Yeah, sure it would get the job done but...you know !?

What the heck is the point of this memory wire crap anyways? Am i supposed to adjust it? It literally just hangs off the side of my head and not even remotely behind my ear in its factory state.

Its a bit hard to A/B test the filters, having to take off the tip unscrew the filter and screw in the new filter and re-apply tip tends to let some brain bias in :/ I do seem to prefer the gold filter the most on the nozzle though
