Yes, It's silicone. I don't remember the pricing for etymotics since I've had them for 3 years. Still didn't ask Piotr about pricing for FLC. You have to make ear impressions and send them to Custom Art, but they need FLC's too because they don't know them. I'll be doing mine this week, so once Piotr will have my FLC he won't be needing another set in the future. I suppose. Anyway just mail Piotr at info@thecustomart.com.

Thanks Ive emailed him.

Please do let me know how the process goes and your impressions. Will wait for your updates.

Thanks

I just spent the last few nights studying the nature of the Shanling M2 and M3. The M2 is a superbly vivid dap while the M3 felt beautifully refined in the highs and overall soundstage.

I got to plug the flc8s tonight for the first time (with a 100$ dap) and am rather impressed the complete cohesive sound! Hard to find fault with these!

Clear- Grey - Green for me.

What $100 dap was that? Fiio x1 or Xduoo x3?

Ihifi 770. First gen with Wolfson 8740 as dac. If things go well, it might get rockboxed. That said, I also use an Alo Rx. Guilty of omission.

Nice 1Trick, for my old ears I can't see ever needed more than the Shanling M2/FLC8s as my TOTL rig at a fraction of the price of a rig consisting of an AK120/Noble Savants or K10U's! At 60 my hearing is still not too bad but I doubt I could hear that much difference to offset the price difference:confused: Of course I realize I would not have that TOTL bragging right but I can live with that:stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

I believe it's the components for their respective amp. The real confusion lies in original 770c (gen 1) using a different Wolfson. Most new 770c users will be happy to know that they get first dibs on the newest fw. I still get to change mine and back depending on the mood. Great mids and low end extension. Scales well amped, but don't expect a bright sound.

I can probably throw in comparisons with The shanling DAPs later this week.

Using the flc8s...just to be on topic! Lol

I got to hear the ak240, not long ago and I don't remember why I wasn't blown away lol...

The shanlings are on to something, but lack weight on their notes due to splendid emphasis on the upper mids, treble and upper treble. If they work on that, they'll be hard to beat.

bc musical > technical. since we are audiophiles and not recording artists, most likely we will crave for musicality

Hello everyone. I recently purchased the FLC 8s from LMUE however I find that the stock tips do not fit well into my ears and they are being constantly pushed outside my ear canal thus, most of the time I could not have a complete seal.  Anyone can recommend which tips are best for the FLC 8s? I find that the largest stock tips sometimes do not fall off outside my ear.

So far I love the red-grey-gold and red-grey-green filters.

Thanks.
