I see what you are getting at.
So question? Are you goong to take my advice? Do you know anyone willing. You can also post your for sale add that the customer buying with good feedback can listen to them first before buying or something of that nature.

Don't know anyone local, I've already spent at least $75 shipping them back and forth.  I will probably just sell them with the stock cable!

Maybe I'm not as well-trained in my musical hearingness, but I never really noticed that much of a difference from different cables. I do believe that there are some minor nuances that can vary depending on the cables, but I feel like if you have quality cans, then you are going to get quality sound. The cables would be the last on my list of things to upgrade, considering how much other stuff I could upgrade that would make a much larger difference in sound.

Agree with this entirely. That being said, if someone has thousands of dollars in source equipment, stuff like cheap cables is going to eventually be the bottleneck.

That is true. I feel like if I spent that much in money in source equipment, I would also be going straight for summit-fi stuff too along with uber nice cables. Hopefully I'll never get to that point though. I couldn't imagine my wallet.

No offense but I call BS on the microphonics, shipping costs.

Moving on

I have never paid a whole lot for cables but the ones I have tried made a difference enough for me to want to discard the other. I suspect these dhc cables really put out. If I get a pair I wouldnt mind doing a tour with the cables for those who have the mini xlr connections.
I would run it off of my email though because I plan on going on a hiatus here soon. Well as soon as I get my custom Vibro.

My vibros will be here for the holidays. I hope they make it in time for a little headfi meet up here in New Orleans . I wonder if they'll be the first in town? Excited and anxious to hear them.

Blackwoods will be in next week. Zach sent me the pictures of the final product, so here are a few pics..

They look very refined and classy to me. I'll feel like a boss wearing them haha

Like I said, I haven't gotten them in yet. Those are just pictures of the final product. They are currently being shipped to me so I'm just playing the waiting game right now.

Compared to my custom tuned vibro the blackwoods are brighter, slightly more pure in tone, heavier, less bass.

The tuning I have is almost the same as the vibro but with less mid bass, tighter sub bass, slightly thinner mids, and more space. Still not as punchy as I rem the vibro because of it having less midbass. Zach told me the tuning done that gives it bigger soundspace consequently takes out the midbass hump. These sound like niether the blackwoods or the vibro. The blackwood remains still the more hifi sounding. The details are still better in the blackwood.

^I'm glad the Blackwoods are a little bit brighter. I just remember the regular V2s as being verrry dark. By less bass do you mean it's just less bass over the whole spectrum or just the mid or sub bass?

The sub bass is more tangible on the blackwood in the because it is tighter and has better extension and weight, but over the whole spectrum I would say that even so the blackwood may have a little less bass than the vibro.
