Dear all,

On behalf of FiiO, I'm pleased to announce that the following new functions are in the planning stage for the X5:
-Play selected folder
-Delete whole folder
-Add whole folder to playlist
-Auto-advance from the last song in one folder to the first song in the next folder

The planned user interface workflow is presented here for your preview and critique. :)

Best regards,
Joseph Yeung, for James
FiiO

Very Nice! But I have two questions:
- On the now playing screen, we can see that the status bar on top is transparent, this is a really cool feature, but will it appears in the next firmware or is it just a bug on the picture ?
- If we can add a whole folder to a playlist with shortcuts operations, can we add a single song to a playlist with shortcuts operations (not in the now playing screen)?

Just became a user of Fiio X5 (decided to choose FIIO against competitors after magic box called D03K)

Mb somebody already claimed or suggested to display cover.jpg from folder on the screen during playback.

Yup - it's in the latest betas

This is the relevant changelog from 2.02b
 3. Added support for the following cover art for a whole folder as per requirements:
a) jpg, jpeg, bmp and png formats are supported;
b) Other limitations to display are the same as for X5 firmware 2.0;
c) Supports display of art in the following order: Embedded cover art>External cover art (same filename as the song)>”front”>”cover”>”folder”>any other image found (first in alphabetical order). Note that capitalization is ignored.
d) Cover art display (stretch and crop) follows method in firmware 2.0 for now.

@Joe Bloggs: Just one question: Those new functionalities will be added to X3's firmware later, too, right?
