Some of the very first Altone200 batches had a defect where part of the internals was blocking an air intake causing some units to have a low level of bass. This has been solved and all newer batches no longer have an issue. If you think yours were effected please contact T-Peos in the link below.

T-PEOS have been hard at work wanting to offer the audio scene something different.

They're proposing a new 3 - Way Hybrid that exhibits high end sound with stripped down housing and accessories package. Basically, they want to try something different to other companies making the end result very affordable for (you) the consumer.

I can tell you from having a sample unit the Altone200 punches up around the same sound quality levels as H-300 but for a much cheaper price. Even running these from my Sansa Clip Zip I've not needed listen to anything else and makes me question whether my $650 RDB Mini driven from Sony NWZ-F806 Walkman is aging or simply being outclassed.

It immediately leaves IEM like my Dunu DN-1000 behind redundant.

The end result however looks very different from that, as I said the model I heard was only a prototype (same tuning however)

I think the end result looks much nicer personally.

Altone200 does punch up around the same levels as H-300 (seriously) has that kick ass bass and super clear mid-range. however every so slightly warmer in tonality (slightly).

It's a first I've seen something like this for around $100. When I pair them with DX50 using sound explosion firmware they blow me away.

T-Peos took in a lot of feedback from their users and went all out.  All I can do is offer what they told me as I'm not doing any reviews due to being busy.

I can however answer any questions. 
 

Do they have the peaky treble that plague the 300?

Are you saying this is better than the dn1000?

How does it compare to the DN-2000?

Yes, they've worked on the treble and It betters the DN-1000 quite easily.

Basically, what they're offering you is bare essentials . Stripped down packaging, accessories, housing material though with high end dynamic driver / dual BA (most likely similar to that of H-300). It's quite unique what they're doing actually. They've opted out for the full blown accessories package, overly flashy housing putting everything into the sound.  (I still think they look quite nice and the fit is good as they tuck away neatly)

Props to T-PEOS.  I really like their methodology in accepting user feedback.  If they tamed the treble issue of the H300, I might give this a whirl.

I cant believe that we can own a triple hybrid IEM for $100......that too from the same mfr who offered triple hybrids for ~$300 and now a new breed of same kind less than their double hybrid.

I would take these over DN-2000 personally. Wasn't a huge fan of DN-2000 and I only had them on loan 2 weeks.

If this model has a reduced treble spike and slightly warmer than H300 in tonality it may seem to be a H300 with it's flaws covered. And going at a much cheaper price than H300, the only difference will be the removable cable, but in any other areas this model seem to better the H300. That's what I'm assuming from the direction of T-Peos on this new model haha.

How'd the cable noise?

Is this supposed to be like a stripped-down H200 using the same drivers or are they uniquely developed drivers for this IEM?

I'm assuming this has more of a connection to H200 than H300 based on the name.

Can you elaborate on how it's better than dn1000 in sound sig and sound stage?

How does it compare to the next level up like fx850, 1plus2, 846 or any others you've heard?
