Man, head-fi is such a great place for music lovers to share and discuss their preferred delivery method.  We all debate and admit that everyone's ears are different, yet don't allow the same for those who prefer the sound of Beats.  Ease up.  If you don't like Beats, don't open the APPRECIATION thread...

I'm tempted, but I'd probably end up just returning them. I've been pretty disappointed by the portables I've tried and I'd be surprised if I liked them enough to keep them. But I'm definitely going to visit Best Buy.

Only reason I started this thread in full size headphones section was due to the hate on beats, why? thread is in such section...:blink:

So its ok for a thread that is predominantly a beats hating thread to reside, but not a beats appreciation thread!

I can't believe that to be true of head-fi, and see no legitimate reason for this thread not to reside here?

So, who'd of thought Apple would buy beats and have dre and Jimmy on the pay roll?

Not me, I like many was pretty surprised, but when you look at it - it makes perfect sense - beats is a massively successful headphone and speakers company with its own beginnings of a music streaming service which Apple speculate is going to be the future trend of music delivery, away from current downloading and playback through an mp3 device or smartphone that they currently dominate in.

Early examples of how this streaming revolution is exampled by the likes of streamz (http://www.streamzmedia.com/p-7-streamz.aspx) who have their own headphones capable of delivering music streamed directly into the headphones, negating the need for a separate device, so its clear to see why beats was such an attractive proposition in Apple buying beats which in itself is a massive departure from how Apple have done business historically, ie innovating current hardware themselves and then dominating the market.

Apple knew full well that buying beats rather than taking them on head to head was by far the best if not only sure fire road to success in potentially dominating future sales of stream capable headphones.

Sounds like something that has been overlooked, thanks...

Consider though, on the most part this thread topic is already a flame-fest waiting to happen, which we'd like to try and avoid, but lots of oversized, random, inane pictures etc. will just add fuel to that fire (for serious discussion at least, hence moving to general discussion, would then mean, within reason, you could do whatever you wanted)...

This is largely been caused by me only, to which Ive edited the post in question and clarified via pm.

But personally for me, I'd love for this thread to be kept within the full size headphone section as it gives credibility to beats which haters like to constantly, and unwarrantedly, discredit.

This is my bad which I trust has now been rectified and will not happen again to endanger this threads removal into general discussion
