Hey y'all,
This looks like it might be a great place to get advice on getting some good earphones. I'm a vinyl junkie from waaayyy back and I'm looking for earphones that have that smooth vinyl sound. Budget is open. A lot of my listening is around 1970's classic rock, soul and R&B. I appreciate your best recommendations.
Listening to "Fight the Good Fight" by Triumph...good stuff

Hello,

New to Head-Fi but so far it seems to be a great community!  Glad to be here!

I like to listen to a lot of post rock, post metal, classic rock, post hardcore, classical, etc and I like to listen on headphones.  I'm sure my wife and neighbors like that I listen on headphones as well.  haha

Hi All,
It's my first message on Head-Fi but I've been reading for a while and glad to be here. I enjoy listening progressive rock, hard rock, progressive metal along many other genres. I simply have pairs of Earsonics SM64 & Beyerdynamic DT1350 and I'm in the search for a good DAC/AMP combo to pair with them.

Hello Head-fiers,
This is Mathi. Long time lurker, finally decided to sign-up. Love music and audio gear. Got my first decent DAC/AMP Fiio E18.
My first CIEM is on its way, looking for a decent upgrade to my headphones ATH-M50s. I'm sure, I will get all help I need here.

Hello!

I have actually been a member for 3 years but just a full time lurker learning from everyone. I don't have the most refined ears but I do appreciate a good set of cans. You can see what I have on my gear list (mostly cheapo trends lol) but I listen to my Grados 97% of the time. I have had them for about 8 years and they are perfect for me. It took about two years for that signature Grado piercing brightness to go away but they are well broken in now. I Have a self modded BMF T50RP that blow me away with their speed and detail but I just prefer the light weight and openness of the Grados. I decided to stop lurking as much because I may have a few insights and opinions to share now.

See ya 'round!

Hi there!  I'm Sam Posten, mostly a Home Theater nut (I'm a hardware reviewer and moderator at HomeTheaterForum) and just getting cooking with some quality cans.  Started off today by lurking through reviews and placed an order for a Beyerdynamics 990 Premium in 32 Ohm variety with the intention of using it at work driven by my iPad and iPhone.

We'll see how well that works out without any other amp...

Hello! I'm Mina. I'm a long-time lurker, and I finally decided to start posting. :) I live in California and I'm a sound lover on a budget.

I used Head-Fi to help select past choices, from budget beauties like KOSS PortaPros to UrbanEars to MEELectronics Sport-Fi M6 in-ear monitors. From there, I upgraded to Audio Technica ATH-M40FS, and started to learn how good headphones could make the difference.

I now own V-Moda M-100s, and have had them for over a year. I love them, and I just ordered the XL pads to increase sound quality and comfort.

Hi everyone,
Found out about this site after a recommendation on another forum, what a mine of information available here!
I've always loved music and listening to it. Built up a hifi over the years but find it more of a struggle to listen to it now - wife and the house layout not really helping - so I thought that I should look into what I can do with some cans.
I'll have a trawl through the info and might be asking some questions soon.

Thanks in advance!

Hey everyone,

I am a Drum & Bass addict, also music, but mostly dnb!! I really love sounds, basses, good systems. I am new to the technical stuff, been reading here and there and i seem to understand quite a lot about what the pros are saying. Just got HD-25 and my first query is gonna surround that.

Lot of great stuff around here, about amps (really thinking now getting one) and stuff. If i can i do my best to share helpful things if someone needs it.
