I also revisited the Fiio X7 after getting some software upgrades and amplifier modules. Please check out the link if you're interested. 
 
Long story short, Android Market is here and the AM3 is an awesome little amp module. Here we go:

There are Android apps like USB Audio Player Pro which support gapless and bitperfect playback on basically any Android powered smartphone.

UAPP doesn't play bitperfect without an external DAC. To be honest, if I want a stack X7 will not ever come to my mind. The appeal of a player like X7 in the first place is to avoid stack. Also the amp module that is supposed to allow better matching with a variety of headphones and iems.

Sorry. I assumed UAPP played bitperfect using the internal DAC as well, avoiding a stack is also my goal.

Today we released 3.04beta firmware by OTA and user outside China can update through OTA. anyway, I think we are closing to the formal version in the coming soon. 
 
after that, we plan to add the VIP4A, and some new theme, here is the final new theme we plan to add in X7.

No new firmware detected. Tried in both Technical Support app and Settings Menu....what's happening James???

I couldn't find one either but Fiio sent me the DL link yesterday to test something. And guess what, it does Tidal in offline mode :)

this is frustrating! you inform everyone that a new beta firmware is available and yet the X7 can't find anything! 
 
i'm a person who likes to keep a device's firmware updated (even if it's still in beta) and share/give feedback. i was quite excited to see your post only to be let down immediately. total bummer.
 
OR am I the only one who can't see the update via OTA? Anyone else can confirm if you can/can't see the OTA? (Ultrainferno just confirmed the same issue)
