I wonder when can we order the new pads. Luckily my m50's already have a detachable cable

Probably when the M50x are released?

Yep, I've been knowing that they were real, because Audio Technica changed their picture thing on their facebook and posted a couple of videos about it, this morning :)

Will we be able to trade in our M50s if they're fairly new? My pair is less than a month old, so there hasn't been any noticeable wear or tear on them. I really want to get the blue and brown version right now because they said it's a limited edition and I don't want to miss out, but I don't want to spend too much money on such a similar headphone.

I'm not huge on headphones, but I am really interested in this pair in particular. I'm sort of stuck on what to do should I order the current M50? Or are the m50x's Worth the wait and the £50 - £60 addition. .????

Also without trying them prior to buying would I regret the choice?? I hear they are pretty amazing :)

OPINIONS PLEASE???? :)

I have regular M50s and I love them but I want to buy these just for the removable cable and new color scheme. If you don't mind having a super long attached cable, then buy the regular M50s. If a removable cable matters to you and the price doesn't, then wait for these.

I think going for the m50x. Would be the right way to go, do you think an amp is necessary ? Because I know some people use them with there headphones?? Really my question is does the headphones need it??.

No, they don't need an amp. The M50x have the same Impedance as the old M50, which is 38 omph. :)

So is it pretty much confirmed that they will sound exactly the same as the old M50s? Wouldn't new pads effect the sound a bit? For the better or even worse. Somehow I'm interested in these. I think what was holidng me back was the lack of a detachable cable for the old M50. Good move by Audiotechnica. 3 years too late, but better late than never I guess.

That is correct.
