Forgive me if I don't want to read through 730 pages, what are the formats the DX90 support? Does it do DSD? Thanks.

On the Lurker FW, 2 and 3 there is just a font change no sound change.

Thanks!  I read it wrong.  I thought that L2 and L3 corresponded to individual hardware configurations (hence the need to check the model number).  L2 or L3 in the model number actually corresponded to what modified version you were running... That's what I get for working on these stuff at 2:30AM.

I know a new firmware is coming, but I'm just excited to tinker with this since I never got to do it with the demo unit.  Installed L2 (I like Roboto).  So far I find this more natural sounding than the stock firmware.  Thank you Lurker for building this for all of us! :)

The iBasso webpage says:

"Audio Formats Supported: APE, FLAC, WAV, WMA, AAC, ALAC, AIFF, OGG, MP3, DSF "

The manual says:

"Audio Formats Supported: APE, FLAC, WAV, WMA, AAC, ALAC, AIFF, OGG, MP3, DSD"

I guess on the iBasso website it should also be "DSD".

Thanks, I wonder if anyone has compared the DSD format on the DX90 to the AK 120 or 240 DSD format.

It changes it to PCM to play. Only a couple of daps do native DSD. The AK240, the QA360 the new X3 gen 2 and maybe something else. Some like the native and some I have read, prefer the change to PCM. I have a player coming that does native DSD.

Would that be the Cayin N6 which plays DSD64 and DSD128 natively?

Thanks John, some of my favorite artists are starting to come out with DSD recordings so I am looking at getting a dap that will do DSD well.

My Hugo does DoP and it sound fine. I have a number of DSD but they take up so much room so I put my DSD on 128gb cards. Where are you getting your DSD?

DX90 Firmare Version V2.1.8

Improvements with this firmware:
1. 10 bands EQ <------who uses EQ?
ph34r.gif

2. Improved media scan ability.<-----improvement noticeable.
3, Quicker startup speed. <-----seems faster.

Can't wait for Lurker0 to tweak the awful OEM font :)

So far so good ibasso!
