Strange behaviour in 2.1.8: if I select sort by Artist, I's all messed up, see pictures. i tried deleting folders with _audio data, done a complete rescan but still it looks this way

2.1.8 gave me some problems. Some of the MP3s that were previously playing fine in 2.1.5 now reboots the DX90 upon playing it.

They are most probably 1-channel (mono) recordings. I've already reported this bug to iBasso.

I found this problem too. Factory reset and rescan libraly didn't fix this problem.
 
Anyway I really like how new FW change the vocal. More body and less cold/laid back. If it get more clearer as someone suggest it would be nice! *Look at Lurker*

Awesome Lurker. But in my case, my 320kbps Mp3s are affected too.

I tested the 2.1.5 L2 some month before, today (thanks iBasso) listened 2.1.8. Through the headphone output sound is just awful. Flat and featureless. Waiting for improvements from Lurker.

  Would anyone know why all my tracks are mixed up?
I take a CD, transfer it via pc Windows Media Player (Wav or 320mp3) to a file. Then  drag and drop it onto the
DX90s sd card.
 
When I go to the player - all the tracks are out of order.
Pretty annoying.

Are you navigating by the DX90's media library (in which mode?) or the folder view? If the latter is the case, the problem should be rather easy to solve by renaming/retagging your files to "01 - Songtitle", "02 - Songtitle" and so on (you can do it easily with MP3Tag).

In my case - I listened the new FW with BD DT 990 Pro/250 and I see (promise me just very little "thinkness". Not a problem, just individuality. I mean the phones output only!

Gosh, I don't know the difference between media library or folder view.
I turn on the device, press "My Music", then "Artist", then "Adele", then "21". I then see the list of songs in the album. (Rolling in the deep, Rumor has it etc..)
 
I see now, that the order is only mixed up with albums converted into Wav. Not Mp3.
I also have the setting on "order".

Maybe I'm using the lineout, the bass is still control but more than the 2.1.5
But the bass is hitting real deep and hard

 
I would say the bass in previous is polite and neat.
And the bass in this FW is a beast
