My old Beresford Bushmaster Mk2 (a gen and revision above the caiman mk2) is fs by the member I sold it to.

That ie80 east would be perfect for the new Wu-Tang Clan and Ghostface Killah... lol

Sometimes I think a list of the equipment you keep is the best recommendation something could get on Head-fi.

asian ear vs western ear. lol

You joke, but Oakley makes "Asian fit" glasses.  Or at least they used to.  Now they're called "alternate fit".  My wife loves them.

Hmmmm... Wonder if folks would put a number rating by each item they have in their profile:

  • (1) Love it and never would sell/trade... A Real Find
  • (0) Might eventually part with it, but now enjoying it
  • (-1) Actively seeking to sell or trade away

come on guys, this is the DEALS discussion thread...let's try and keep the discussion about the deals. it's fine if the talk goes on a little bit of a tangent, but out of respect for everyone else, if you want to keep discussing particular headphones/amp, you should take it to a thread specific about them.

RHA MA350 for $28, MEElectronics Atlas for $33, Beyer Custom One Pro $149 all on Massdrop:

Yes, if I had the wallet I would keep all the headphones/dac/amps I had in my list with the exception of a few and sing praises non-stop. Unfortunately I like to experience the varieties and see what companies have to offer (who doesn't?) without taking out a mortgage to fund it. I think this is where it goes after you've reached your personal summit, which is what the HE560 is to me, you start getting into the varieties.

As for the Beresford, it's an amazing DAC for the price with it's neutrality with warmth. It's a reference sound so you're not getting a bass boost like you would with AGD Wolfsons nor are you getting a mid or high boost like you would with a Yulong D100. Would totally kept it if I didn't need/want a DX100 which can run ALL my headphones and IEMs on the go with all my FLAC and including Spotify Premium. Which basically replaced my PC, DAC, and AMP into an all-in-one.

Is this the one that was released before the Caiman MkII (TC7534)?  The price on the Bushmaster MkII (TC7533) looks to be one heck of a deal.

I have to say the instructions on the Caiman were poor, but the sound is pretty darn good once I figured out how it works.  I'm listening to it now through the ESP-950's...some blues through Deezer Elite's FLAC streaming and it's extremely satisfying.
