Noble Audio - the Wizard returns!
Sep 17, 2016 at 3:11 AM Post #22,051 of 36,078
I am considering one of the Nobles (K10, Katana or Django) to become my next purchase.
Fellow europeans please help, did you have to pay for customs when you got them?
Is there a reputible reseller of Noble customs in Europe besides aid2hearing in the UK?
My choice would for now be the K10, but with customs here it gets a little too expensive.

Any help appreciated!

Thanks.

I'd call up aid2hearing and see what products they have in stock to demo.   (may even ask them your above question)

Regarding aid2hearing, as far as I am aware for the universal range she has then in stock so there wouldn't be customs to pay. However, the CIEMs come from China so there would be customs on that. I purchased my CIEMs through Gisele so the customs fee was added on to my final payment and I didn't have to deal with it myself which is much less bother. I hope that helps. :)

Thanks! May I ask what you paid in total for your CIEMs?

I am sure Gisele does a very good job.
But as said, I am not located in the UK...

It was about £1900 with wizard design, rapid construction, the cost of making/shipping the ear impressions to the USA and the customs fees.

Thanks!
So that's about 2200€ including everything possible. That's very fair for what you got... Nice, will send her an e-mail.

She is an absolute pleasure to deal with and very helpful. One thing though is unless you come to the UK you will have to get your impressions done by a 3rd party (which would be independently charged), she might know someone in your country that can do decent ones but I have no idea about that really. It is definitely worth spending time to find someone who can make good impressions for you though as they are pretty much the most important thing for getting a good fit.

She definitely is, I just got a message from her, saying that she will put together a € pricelist for me. Even that sounded incredibly nice and helpful.
Maybe she knows someone over here. I am in contact with an audiologist already for impressions, he's got a good reputation. we'll see.

Thank you again for your help!

Katana thoughts:

The Katana really handles drums well, any and all drums. Kick drums in a drum kit, timpani, tabla, all layered, realistic bass goodness.

Not boosted, but very good bass presence and depth.

It handles heavy metal, symphonies, ragas, pop, and string quartets all excellently.

Clarity is very nice and the Katana does it with a nice, natural note weight, avoiding the thinness you often find in detail-oriented earphones.

I only have the experience with K10 in all whole noble lineup, but right now I want to search a midrange IEM for my daily use..I want to search a bit bright, neutral, reference and less bass IEM it seems that Katana is fulfilled all my requirements except the price..lol

Which one between savant and savannah is closer to katana sound signature?

I see what you did there. Instead of getting just the Hugo, you paid the same amount and got a Mojo plus the Katana. You're not fooling me with any talk of saving money... (I won't tell your wife). I'm surprised to hear you found little (if any) difference in sound between the Mojo and Hugo when paired with the K10. I find the Mojo+K10 to be wonderful, if not a little "thick" sounding. Would have thought the Hugo would make things sound a little less meaty or more open.

Compared with a Hugo, the Mojo does sound a little weightier with the K10. However, I love my sound just a little more lush and thick, and that's why the Mojo is a perfect pairing, IMO. Vocals sound absolutely perfect with this combination.
