The miracles are three TWFK drivers in a three way crossover are they not? The miracles sound a bit too rounded on the treble. As in there is a literal sensation of roundedness when I demoed them. Thus I interpret it as the damping of some Hugh frequencies that I really kike
]The Miracles are on the height side actually and maybe they use the TWFK for the treble, but not for the bass and mids I'm pretty sure.

Anyone hyped for the new JH iems?

Not really. Not until they actually release some tangible information on how the bass knob works and why it has to be 12 drivers, and whether the CF is just a thin wrap, or a full-on layup. Real-world impressions (read: non-Jude) will come in at RMAF, I assume. Or at least I hope.

I'm not a fan of the connector and I do think 12 is quite excessive but time will tell. I hope it will sound great but I'm more excited about the products that just came out from Noble Audio. I may get that next but not anytime soon as I have 2 customs incoming.

Someone has made a 20 driver one so this isn't really a breakthrough. Even small companies like Rhapsodio have done it.

IMO over 10 is just unecessary.

The SE5 actually takes up a lot more driver space than the 8A did. Because it is 5 actual armatures and most of them are not small. I'd say the 8A took up maybe slightly over half the space in terms of drivers compared to the SE5. I still haven't seen anything as complicating looking inside as that. The 1Plus2 follows behind it in looking complicating inside if you have a clear shell to see what is going on.

  HDP-R10 > 1plus2 and I'm in heaven.

I wish I had a source that could actually match my desktop rig :frowning2:. I'm considering modding the AK120 into the S model and getting a better amp to see where that goes. I think that is the only portable that will reach such a level :frowning2:.

A DAP will never reach the performance level of the best desktop rigs with headphones IMO. With IEMs, a desktop rig is completely unnecessary.

Nope I completely disagree with you. Not even my DX100 amped compares to my Triad desktop rig with my IEMs. There is definitely more room to improve. Now it gives very good performance where I could live with it on the go. But if I'm being honest they don't really compare at all. More so of me wanting them to compare lol. Going from a source I trust the AK120 with the S mod and a good amp compared to his desktop rig and even outperformed it where he went back and updated his desktop rig as it was putting it to shame . Mind you this is not a cheap desktop rig either.
