5 hours sucks. Will be seeing how long I get out of mine tomorrow.
Been using it, at about 95-100 low gain.

That is pretty bad - it ticks all of the boxes for me except this, and it is a deal breaker for me. Hopefully they can continue refining this until it is close to the 14 hours.

It might just be a battey guage error. I've been on that last bar for a long long time, and it doesn't seem to be running down...

I just got my JDS Labs C5 today and I'm loving it. I think its a fantastic addition to the DX50.

So I wasn't dreaming then as far as the battery is concerned. It really stinks, they better address this issue I just don't want to keep charging the dap or worse, letting it hooked to the electrical plug full time. It really got down to from at least 7 to 8 hours to now 5 to 6 hours at the most.

Normally have it at that when I'm at home and it's quiet, but when out maybe a little louder 115-125 low gain using the H-200. But I notice some people have the volume at about 150+, maybe mines defective?

yes the battery life is surprising short.. usually the player can last me for 3 days.... it is dead after 1 day..
