The iBasso DX50 Thread - Latest firmware: 1.9.5 - June 30, 2016

I'm considering a Tralucent T1 and/or HeadAmp Pico Power for the DX50. Anyone have both that can advise which is a better pairing?

While I really like my T1 and it does sound excellent with my DX50, I still prefer the iBasso D12 with my choice of opamps and used with the coax output of the DX50.

Sorry but I can't comment on the Pico Power, as I have never heard it.

Answer: Yes, the DX50 will play through your car stereo if you have a 3.5mm AUX input via a patch cord.

Not only will the DX50 play through an AUX input in you car system, having the 3 hard buttons allows one to change tracks forward and backward as well as pause and play by touch without ever removing your eyes from the road.

I've been having some issues with some albums lately. At first it was just one album, then another one started failing, and now a 3rd just added to the list. Has anyone experienced some playback issues like, when you start playing the first track, it plays the first 2 or 3 seconds on the track, then skips to the next track, plays the first 2 or 3 seconds on that track, then skips again, and it forms a loop? The player doesn't hang though, i can still pick another album so i can still use the DX50 when this happens, but it is annoying, since those albums were working before, and they do work fine in Foobar...

So far i've done 2 factory resets, 3 formats to the SD card (2 fast formats and 1 slow format) and 2 reloads of my whole playlist... and still happens. Does anyone have an idea how can i fix this annoying "bug" (i don't know if i can call it a bug since it's only happening to me i guess), or is someone experiencing this issue? Thank you in advance for any kind of help you guys can give me with this issue...

Just to quote myself on this issue, in the end i went back to 1.2 and the "problematic" albums play just fine, so i guess it's a bug with those 3 records and 1.2.2 (could be tags, but the tags are clean). Might as well wait til friday for the new update, and see if it works. Sucks though, i liked the way that the 1.2.2 firmware sounded.

I found an album today that just fuped the DX50 all over - but those very same files would play perfectly on my DX100 (where I grabbed them). Turns out the DX50 didn't like the .m3u and .log files in that folder. Deleted them, rescanned, the album played perfectly.

I noticed that too since then I only move music files and nothing else.

Got tracking number for my patch 7 order couple hours ago. Life is sweet but agonizing.

Yes. I would guess we get earlier FW, but maybe luck is on our side and we get the fresh, just released one.

Cheers

ps. Ordered 64gigs sd. Now I just have to start ripping all the cd's I have and need to flac and see how far the storage space lasts.

Mp4Nation, can you hear impatient customers waiting???

Joseph, i do not mind waiting but i expected when i paid they would send a shipping notification instead of showing the order processing, just for good feel.
I am ok to wait but would love to know expected delivery date, which they did not. All in all Mp4nation acts similar to Chinese MisterTao, i hope they will ship promptly and not freak up with customs... Keep fingers crossed.

Yes, i am curious about rs3, but less so because my daughter might grab them and i do not hold mu breath for rs3 to come close to asg2 or even h200. Rather i feel greedy :D

Oooh! Shipping notification received here as well. Wonder how long it will take until it reaches the UK?

In anticipation I have bought the new Arcade Fire, Sigur Ros and Dan Le Sac vs. Scroobius Pip albums and ripped them to top quality FLAC.

Yummy.

Copied couple albums in sd card (64gb Fat32) after scanning few albums is full with music other is empty directory, then after inserting sd card in card reader they are empty. After copy i delete all waste leaving only music files in directorys. What wrong with that? Firmware 1.2.2
