The iBasso DX50 Thread - Latest firmware: 1.9.5 - June 30, 2016

Like one member mentioned a few pages back, the C5 does somewhat widen the soundstage of the DX50, and brings its mids a touch more forward. Either way, this was a good upgrade and improvement over my C3/C5 combo. Couldn't be any happier:')

Looks like a pretty nice fit as well... How do they stack without your collection of rubber bands?

Haha, yes, the fit is only 2mm off in terms of width, but the two rubber bands (which is acting as rubber feet so my C5 doesn't get stratched) evens those odds out.

They are currently joined via Dual Lock as seen in this picture below.

Anyone can help with this question? The battery life for hires files will be a huge consideration in whether I get the DX50.

(I'm posting again before the question gets buried with the fast moving posts.)

I'm sorry if this has been posted before, but does anyone know what is the battery life with hires files, particularly 24/192? It will be good to know what is the percentage drop per 10 min play of 24/192 files. Can anyone help to test this?

My current rig of S3 and USB digital out to iBasso D55 via USB Recorder Pro app is just draining too fast - about 7% drop in battery every 10 min.

Many thanks!

With my DX100, I never noticed any real difference playing high-res compared to 16/44.1, haven't tested the battery life of the DX50 yet. Being unable to se the exact battery level makes that kinda hard

Thanks to the new firmware, maybe 90% of my albums pop up in the Album view.
That's pretty good.
Too bad I have no idea why it does not recognize the rest. It's alt not that easy to find the album the media scanning skipped.
I found one in the Directory view, played a track, the "Media Scanning" scrren showed up, and after that the album was listed correctly in the Album view.
Weird.

  Yipeee mine arrived today.
It came with firmware V1.1.5 already upgraded but I want to know what's the difference between V1.1.5 and V1.1.6?

Even more bugfixes :)
The ' problem is gone for example.
Installing it is a good idea.
